Lisa Riley reveals her closest friends were ‘shocked’ by her weight loss achievement

Lisa Riley wowed us all with her incredible 11-stone weight loss transformation last year – and it seems as if the people closest to her were the most ‘shocked’ of all by her her incredible achievement…

Discussing her weight loss journey – which saw her shed half her body weight – the newly engaged actress suggested she was battling against the odds.

‘I was about 100 to 1 as the one to lose weight,’ the Loose Women panellist told The Mirror on Sunday (8 July).

‘I was the underdog. The horse that’s kept on running and lost over half my body weight when no one ever thought I would.’

The 41-year-old actress continued: ‘Even my closest friends were shocked I did it, they thought I’d be big forever.

‘If I told you the money I’ve been offered to do weight loss DVDs, your jaw would drop.’

Revealing how confident she’s feeling, Lisa added: ‘My motto for life is just to be comfy in your own skin.

‘It’s not like we can use tracing paper to trace ourselves onto someone else. We’re all who we’re supposed to be.

‘Be proud to be unique, and anything you do, do it for you.’
