Rebel Wilson Reveals Another Reason Behind Her 80-Pound Weight Loss
Rebel Wilson shocked fans in 2015 with her weight loss journey. Quite actually– the Internet was going nuts over her Awards night looks and swimsuit pictures. Up previously, the “Pitch Perfect” star credited her transformation to self-care: she concentrated on herself and her body throughout the pandemic. However, according to a brand-new interview the star finished with PEOPLE, self-care wasn’t her only inspiration.
In reality, Wilson’s look after others– a future household, in specific– sustained her healthy habits. In 2019, the celebrity’s fertility physician suggested that she reduced weight if she wished to effectively freeze her eggs. “I was taken aback. I thought, ‘Oh God, this guy’s so rude.’ He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight,” Wilson informed PEOPLE. “It’s almost like I didn’t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child’s needs that really inspired me to get healthier.”

The “Senior Year” star understood that if she took much better care of herself, she might much better look after a kid. But in order to do that, she needed to get to the root of her consuming routines: “It was about dealing with the emotional issues that caused me to emotionally eat, and that’s a process,” she informed PEOPLE.
Wilson just more just recently thought about fertility as a choice, informing PEOPLE that she would like to have a household with or without a partner. “Any woman who’s gone through it, I really relate to,” she stated in her PEOPLE interview. “It’s been an emotional rollercoaster. I don’t know how it’s going to end. But I’m still young enough to try.”
Although the celebrity’s clearly lost a lots of weight, she still needs to work to preserve that exact same level of self-care and self-love that got her there. This consists of integrating different forms of exercise, consuming protein, and permitting space for cheat meals.
Body image will constantly be necessary to Wilson, and she’s really singing about it. “There is a societal bias towards what society deems as good-looking. It’s not right,” she informed PEOPLE. “You want to celebrate all body types but I also want to encourage people to be healthy.”
Being healthy– for future kids and after that for herself– continues to be Wilson’s #1 concern. You go, lady!
